We'll tell you if your roof is fine. And if it isn't.

Hail damage is easy to miss from the ground and easy to overstate from a ladder. We inspect, photograph, and measure what's actually there — then give you the honest read. Free, and no one calls you afterward.

Not sure you have damage? Text us a photo and we'll tell you if it's worth a look. No cost, no obligation.

What We Restore

Roofing · Siding · Gutters
01

Roofing

Tear-offs, layovers, and full replacements — from straightforward ranch roofs to steep multi-pitch rebuilds most crews won't touch.

  • Dark bruised spots on shingles
  • Granules collecting in gutters
  • Missing or lifted shingles after wind
02

Siding

Hail-cracked and wind-torn siding replaced and color-matched, with the damage documented the way it needs to be.

  • Cracks or holes on the storm-facing wall
  • Chipping and dents near corners
  • Loose or rattling panels
03

Gutters

Seamless gutter replacement and repair, sized and pitched right so water ends up away from your foundation.

  • Dents and dings along the face
  • Overflow or pooling near the house
  • Sagging or pulled-away sections

Who You're Calling

Kingpost is veteran owned and run out of the Council Bluffs area. When you call, you get one of the owners — not a call center, not a commissioned closer working a storm map.

We keep the operation small on purpose. Fewer jobs, more attention, and a straight answer about whether your roof actually needs work. And we verify a current certificate of insurance for every crew before they set foot on your property.

How It Works

No Surprises
01

We Inspect

We walk the roof and exterior, run test squares for hail counts, and photograph everything. Takes about half an hour.

02

You See Everything

We sit down and show you the photos and the measured scope of damage. You decide what to do with it — no pressure either way.

03

We Restore

If you move forward, our vetted crews complete the work to spec. We walk the finished job with you before we call it done.

Also On the Truck

Beyond the Storm

Our crews work more than roofs. If you've got a project that's been sitting on the list, ask while we're out there — it's cheaper to do it in the same trip.

Concrete Flatwork

Driveways, sidewalks, patios, and pads — tear-out and replacement or new pours.

Decks

New builds, rebuilds, and board replacement. Composite or treated lumber.

Fascia & Soffit

Rot repair and wrap, usually worth handling while the gutters are already down.

Exterior Repairs

Trim, railings, small carpentry, and the odd jobs most companies won't schedule.

Non-storm work is quoted and invoiced separately from any insurance job — always its own contract, its own paperwork.

Storms We're Still Working

Southwest Iowa & Metro
April 2024

Tornado outbreak through the northwest metro — Waterloo, Elkhorn, Bennington, Blair, and into Harrison County, Iowa.

June 2024

Two-inch hail across the metro, from central Omaha south through La Vista and Ralston, and into western Iowa.

April 2025

Baseball-size hail and tornadoes across the region, including Imogene, Essex, and Tabor on the Iowa side.

If one of these came through your area and nobody ever got on your roof, that's worth thirty minutes. Text us your address and we'll tell you what we find.

Common Questions

Straight Answers

No. The inspection and the written scope are free, and there's no obligation afterward. If your roof is in good shape, we'll tell you that and go on our way.

We provide the damage documentation — photos, measurements, and a written scope — that you can use however you choose, including with your insurer. Filing the claim and negotiating your settlement are yours to handle; in Iowa and Nebraska, that's the homeowner's role, not a contractor's.

No, and be cautious with anyone who offers to. Paying or rebating a homeowner's deductible is against the law in both Iowa and Nebraska. Your deductible is your responsibility, and we'll be upfront about that from the start.

It's a fair worry — Nebraska premiums have climbed faster than almost anywhere in the country the last few years. Rate setting is up to your carrier and we can't promise you anything about it. What we can do is tell you honestly whether you have enough damage to be worth filing over, so you're not opening a claim for something marginal. Plenty of our inspections end with us saying it isn't worth it.

Not necessarily. Claim windows run longer than most people assume, and hail damage doesn't heal — a 2024 storm can still be documented today. What matters is your specific policy language and how long you've waited, so it's worth a look rather than a guess.

Please do. Send a picture of the roof, the siding, or whatever caught your eye, along with your address. We'll tell you honestly whether it looks like something worth inspecting — and plenty of the time the answer is no.

Usually within a few days. After a major storm the schedule fills up fast, so the sooner you call the better your options are.

Yes — we cover both sides of the metro, Council Bluffs and southwest Iowa through the Nebraska side of the river.

Yes. On insurance-funded work, both states give you three business days to cancel in writing after signing. That's your right, and it's spelled out on our contract.
